making while sad

trying to make a thing while sad is a mistake. The thing is tainted, not pure. Making from a happy place is pure, beautiful and sustainable.

Making while sad, becomes part of the transience, working through the sadness to a purer state of mind.

the sadness went.

the beauty of that thing is returning slowly. Maybe the thing will evolve and become something else.

I start to understand about making and trusting the gut feeling. Being happy and enthused is a very important part of working with a thing what you are making. I sometimes wonder if I loose sight of that because I put too much emphasis on the degree nature of the work. Would I be happier if there was someone I could banter with about philosophy and why Chadwick's work stands out.
